CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

  • Following pre- and post-care instructions is essential for optimal results.
  • Approximately 50% of results depend on proper care.

Factors affecting results:

  • Skin type
  • Lifestyle & bone structure
  • Blood type & age
  • Sun exposure
  • Medications
  • Adherence to aftercare

Previous PMU work: Submit 3 clear photos to info@poutsandbrows.com for approval before booking.

Photo guidelines:

  • Makeup-free, no filters
  • Natural light (facing a window)
  • Clear, focused image

TOUCH UPS

  • Permanent makeup typically requires two sessions.
  • Second session ensures optimal retention and allows adjustments.
  • Should be scheduled within 6–8 weeks of initial procedure.

Important:

  • Booking at the end of the first session is recommended to guarantee availability.
  • Touch-ups after 8 weeks may incur an additional fee.
  • Only one reschedule per touch-up if space allows.
  • Medical forms must be completed before each appointment; incomplete forms may extend session time.

COLD SORES (Herpes Simplex Virus)

  • Clients prone to cold sores should take antiviral medication (e.g., Valtrex) 1–2 days before.
  • Active cold sores or recent outbreaks may compromise pigment retention and safety.
  • The artist may reschedule for optimal results.

ANTIBIOTICS/MEDICATIONS

  • Clients cannot be on antibiotics at the time of appointment.
  • All medications must be disclosed on the medical form.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • All services are final, no refunds.
  • Aftercare kits are provided; following instructions is the client’s responsibility.
  • No additional guests or children to maintain a calm environment.
  • Minimal talking is preferred during procedures.
  • Studio reserves the right to refuse service at any time.

Note: Natural asymmetry may occur due to bone structure or other factors; permanent makeup enhances but cannot guarantee perfect symmetry.

PRE-CARE GUIDELINES

Proper preparation is essential for long-lasting, beautiful results. Please follow these instructions carefully:

1. Health & Medications

  • Do not take antibiotics at the time of your appointment.
  • Avoid aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E, ibuprofen for 72 hours before your procedure. (Tylenol is okay.)
  • If prone to cold sores, take antiviral medication (e.g., Valtrex) 1–2 days before your lip procedure.
  • Disclose all medications on your medical form.

2. Alcohol & Stimulants

  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, energy drinks, and tea for 48 hours prior to your appointment. These can increase bleeding and affect pigment retention.

3. Skin Care & Treatments

  • Avoid chemical peels, glycolic acids, Retin-A, or other exfoliating treatments for 4 weeks prior.
  • Avoid alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) products near the treatment area for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after.
  • No microdermabrasion near brows or lips 4 weeks prior.
  • Exfoliate lips 1-2 days before your lip blush service.

4. Sun & Tanning

  • Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, or spray tans for at least 2 weeks prior to your procedure.

5. Botox, Fillers & Brow Treatments

  • Avoid Botox or fillers in the treatment area for 4 weeks prior.
  • No brow waxing or tinting within 1 week; brows will be shaped during your session.

6. General Health

  • Ensure you are well-rested, hydrated, and healthy.
  • Avoid appointments if you are sick, have a fever, or an active infection.

7. On the Day of Appointment

  • Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup or skincare products (ONLY in the area being treated)
  • Wear comfortable clothing and plan to relax—procedures can take 2–4 hours depending on service.

Failure to follow pre-care instructions may result in excessive bleeding, poor pigment retention, and rescheduling, which could affect results and incur additional fees.
